In today's Tacoma City Council study session, the Cheney Stadium Advisory Panel, with its chosen design team, Mortenson, Populous, and Belay, revealed details of Cheney Stadium's first full renovation in 51 years.

Last night, Acme Bowl in Renton, WA was the venue of choice for bowling enthusiasts. The Tacoma Rainiers sales team took on the sales teams from both the Mariners and Emerald Downs in a fight to the finish for the title of Champions of the Pacific Northwest.

The 2010 Tacoma Rainiers Fun Squad will be an energetic and dynamic promotional squad who will be highly visible at all Rainiers home games and in the community.

"Playing for Peanuts" is a 10-episode TV series about minor league baseball. The series follows the South Georgia Peanuts - a team in the now-defunct South Coast League. It shows the real lives of ballplayers at the lowest level of professional baseball, from long bus rides and disgusting living conditions to injuries and bench-clearing brawls.

Featuring appearances by current and former Major Leaguers including Wally Backman, Cecil Fielder, Phil Plantier, Ron Darling and Conor Jackson.
