Baseball season is almost here. Individual game tickets for all of the Sky Sox 72 home games go on sale, on the Sky Sox website only, on Monday, March 8th. Box seats are $12.00 and Reserved Seats are $9.00. Mini-Season ticket packages start as low as $50 and include many exciting dates throughout the summer

With a myriad of corner infield options in Rockies' camp, slugging first baseman Josh Phelps seeks to make the Colorado Springs roster. Contributing prodigious power and extensive big league experience, Phelps' bat would constitute a tremendous boost to the Sky Sox championship hopes.

Beating out a talented field of nominees, Seth Smith has been selected to "Colorado Springs' Team of the Decade," starting left fielder!

The results now in, Garrett Atkins has been named the starting third baseman to the "Colorado Springs Team of the Decade" for the years 2000-2009. Atkins beat out a very strong field that included former Sky Sox stars Ian Stewart and Jeff Baker. Congratulations to Atkins for being selected.

The 2010 off-season has been a fruitful one for former Sky Sox players, as 46 alumni have signed new contracts, including 14 with major league teams.

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox Baseball Club is proud to announce Sports Animal AM 1300 as the new flagship radio station for all broadcasts of Sky Sox baseball. The 2010 season promises to be an exciting one, as the two-time PCL Champion Sky Sox celebrate their 23rd season in Colorado Springs with a new home on the radio.

The Houston Astros announced Tuesday that Brad Mills will be their new manager replacing former skipper Cecil Cooper. Mills, who had most recently been the bench coach for the Boston Red Sox and former Sky Sox player Terry Francona (1988), managed the Sky Sox from 1993 to 1996.

The Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame will welcome the Class of 2009 for induction on Tuesday, November 10, at the Colorado Springs World Arena, with activities starting at 6:00 p.m. with a reception and blue-chip sports silent auction.

"Playing for Peanuts" is a 10-episode TV series about minor league baseball. The series follows the South Georgia Peanuts - a team in the now-defunct South Coast League. It shows the real lives of ballplayers at the lowest level of professional baseball, from long bus rides and disgusting living conditions to injuries and bench-clearing brawls.

Featuring appearances by current and former Major Leaguers including Wally Backman, Cecil Fielder, Phil Plantier, Ron Darling and Conor Jackson.
